I love creating photos to remind families that in spite of the fact that the car of their floor is covered in cereal and mom and dad are in a permanent state of exhaustion, their love and their story are beautiful.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PORTRAIT SESSIONS
Portrait Session
After photographing many of portrait sessions, I have found that I am not the perfect fit for every family. That’s why this process begins with a conversation. We want to hear everything—how you met, funny first date stories, and how y’all got engaged.
We’ll get to know one another, talk about the details of your day, answer any questions you might have about working with me and figure out if we’re the best fit for each other.
LET's CONNECT
Once your date is reserved, we'll connect to start chatting about possible locations for your session. We generally recommend choosing one location and if it's a place you haven't been before, it might be helpful to visit during the time our session will take place. That way you have an idea of the light, crowds, closing time, etc! If you're not sure about where you would like to take your photos but you have a general idea of the look you would like, just let us know because we would be happy to recommend a few locations based on your aesthetic!
LOCATION
If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet and piled it on your bed but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.
I have put together an extensive outfit suggestion guide with tips for every member of the family (even Fido!)
waRDROBE STYLING
On the day of your session, I'll connect to make sure the weather still looks like it's going to corporate. We'll exchange numbers and finalize our meeting location. Please plan for your session to take about two hours from start to finish.
The SEssion
All images from our sessions are typically delivered within about two weeks of the shoot date via an online gallery. This gallery will allow you to share your favorites with family and even download images.
Your gallery will remain active for six weeks.
DELIVERY
WHAT TO EXPECT –
The sooner the better! My weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to me, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, I'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?

Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Even I take photos for a living and still feel like a deer in the headlights when in front of the camera.
You're going to feel awkward at first, but as the session goes on and we coach you through images, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.

No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, I'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Often, when I'm scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, I'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.

The Maternity Experience
TIMING IS EVERYTHING
I recommend between 35 and 38 weeks for the ideal time to do maternity photos, so be sure to get on my calendar!
Feel free to bring your significant other, or baby's brothers and sisters to the session. And if you'd like to bring some little baby booties for a prop or two, that would be a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e.

"What if I don't know what to do in front of the camera?" - this is one of my most common questions, and one of my favorites to answer. I've got you! I pride myself in making my clients feel comfortable during our time together. I will gently guide you into flattering poses and natural moments so you don't ever have to wonder what to do.
